Still waiting
I really thought I'd know by now if I got the job I am hoping for. They either call with an offer, or send a "no thanks" letter. I figured that whichever I was going to get would come about mid-September.
It's now the beginning of October, and still nothing. My father argues that's good, since a simple "no" would happen more quickly than a more complicated, "yes, here's where, here's the salary, etc." I really hope he's right.
Not that it's often he's wrong. You ever hear the old adage that "the older I get, the smarter my parents are (or were)"? Plus, he's been really cool this year, helping me get a job, etc. Both my parents have been really supportive; between them and my wife, I couldn't ask for a more encouraging family.
Now, I just need a $%#@ answer!
